Michael Horbach Foundation: Helping people to help themselves

For over 20 years Michael Horbach has been getting involved in social and cultural projects. In 2000 he founded the Michael Horbach Foundation for these purposes. The main task of the foundation is the promotion of beneficial projects, especially the assistance of foreign families in need and single women.

The main objective of all beneficial activities is to empower the people to help themselves. This approach offers new possibilities to people in need and encourages them to take their fate and their future into their own hands. The Michael Horbach Foundation wants to nourish a new consciousness of social problems and to stimulate the society to act on their own.

Furthermore the Michael Horbach Foundation is committed to exceptionally worthwhile cultural projects. Every two years the foundation is awarding a photography award for outstanding photographers being committed to social issues and problems.
